My kittens are 4.5 months old, they are going outside for short periods of time on their own.. however the other day i noticed one of my kittens had some of it's whiskers shortened (ie they looked like they had been cut).

I wouldnt have thought he would let someone pick him up to cut them off.. but is there any other explanation??

Try keeping them in for a few weeks and see if the problem still persists. You can then be sure if it is self-inflicted or else.
