well what i have is a hifin id shark, Pangasius sanitwongsei, and it grows to about 8-10 feet adult size and i have read and heard that they they are very predatory and eats mostly fish!!
well i have 4 of them and all of them around 20 cm, but what worries me is that they are not predatory at all!! i have several small fishes 2-3 cm but the hifin id sharks just ignores them!! is there something to worry about???
also all 4 of them never comes to the surface, they always stays at the bottom which cause me some problems as they eat only sinking food!! something to worry about that also?? i feed them sinking carnivore pellets and they do eat well!! any other sinking food you can advise me?? as i want them to have a varied diet!! sorry for asking so many questions but i want to get that clear once for all! plz help!! many thanks in advance!!

they're omnivores, and while they're young they'll probably prefer a diet mixed with greens as well as live/frozen food like bloodworm and brine shrimp. not all fish are top-feeders, it's not unusual for fish not to come to the surface for their dinner.

what are you plans for the future of these monster fish? do you have an indoor pond planned?
