If todays u.n.had of been around on 'D' day.would?

they have allowed the invasion of soveriegn countries, france etc. to free the world from the nazi's.would they have asked mr.hitler if it was o.k. to do it or would the invasion fleet still be waiting off normandie for the go ahead?due to their inactivity and incompetence in dealing with a similar illegal, ruthless, unelected military junta in burma, thousands, maybe 100s thousands of people are dying.why not invade now,not with bombs and bullits, but with food and shelter and humanitarian aid, ignore the the generals.save lives.is the u.n.neccessary?

Well, the world's last "humanitarian" invasion, Iraq, has so far resulted in hundreds of thousands of dead, millions of refugees, and the worst human rights disaster in the Middle East since the partition of Palestine in 1948. With no end in sight.

Invading sovereign nations to "help" them is like helping your neighbour fight a house fire with a flamethrower. This Burma situation in no way can be compared to World War Two, which was a declared war between sovereign states. We're not at war with Burma just for starters.
