For my senior project, I'm writing a research paper on the history and effects of environmentalism in society (particularly American society). I don't know where to start. I already tried the perdue site, but it didn't help me at all, and just made me even more confused. I don't have a method or a formula to how I research things - I just have a big jumble of information and ideas in my head. How do I untangle this?

I am in college, so my school has acess to many scholarly jounrals like Jstor...are you in high school? A good website is googlescholar, (scholar.google.com)...just do a bunch of searches for your topic, and try to reword your search because that helps too. Your outline should be intro, abstract, methods, data, conclusions, etc...its different depending on how you go about your research, and what type of class it is for...hope this helps! good luck
