My little brother and sister are 6 and 8. Our mother and them are in Egypt now and she plans on putting them in a school that offers that program. So I would like to know:
-Would the IB program there be similar or the same to the one here?
-Does taking IB classes and having an IB diploma give the student a better chance of getting accepted to good colleges?
-Do people who graduate from IB programs graduate with college credits?

IB is an international (obviously) organization for 11th and 12th grade that focus on getting students prepared for college. If you graduate with an IB diploma you wil have college credits, however some schools don't accept IB credits. All IB organizations are based on the same curriculum, like all rising 10th graders have to read "A Brave New World" this summer. If you want your children in the IB program, you start them off in MYP (middle years program)(6th grade to 10th grade) and then they will take IB in 11th and 12th grade. Hope this helps! 100% 1 Vote
